The Best of Normandy

D-DAY 72nd ANNIVERSARY

In 2016, all the attention will be again focussed on the D-Day landings Beaches and the sites of the Battle of Normandy.

L'Isle Marie is a few minutes away from the historic site of Utah Beach and Sainte Mère Église, the first beach and town liberated by the Allied Forces and center of all D-Day celebrations. Our fields and our buildings kept the marks of the intensive fights. In the Living room of the Castle you may notice bullet marks on the wall, reminders of these dramatic events.
